In June 2002, Dr. Jemima Tso, nurse Connie Kline, RN, Edna Fund, CRC, Dr. Tso's husband Siu Wan and children Jerome and Joyce, were blessed to be able to travel to Hong Kong and then via domestic train to Wuhan, in the Szechuan province of mainland China.

Wuhan is a city of seven milllion people, with many children who are not part of any family unit and live on the street. The team joined the Gift of Joy ministry, which provides services to needy children all over the world.
Dr. Tso examines a patient. | While in China, Dr. Tso and Connie provided medical services for about fifty children, including well checks, treating skin infections, ear aches and colds. One child in particular had an amputated leg, sustained when he fell onto the railraod tracks while picking through the dump for items for his family.
